The Director's house: Les Dévens sur Bex, year 1825, Jean de Charpentier, director of salt mines, moved into his new residence, made available by the State of Vaud. As an outstanding engineer, Jean de Charpentier saved mining thanks to a revolutionary process. being an exceptional geologist and botanist, the latter will have left his mark on his time, and today Pierre and Jacqueline welcome you to this beautiful and historic building. With 5 comfortable rooms of generous size, it opens onto a huge garden bordered by old stone walls where life is pleasant. Classified as a Vaud heritage site, the old parts preserved in the house are in perfect harmony with contemporary design.
The Bex salt mines: today constitute a huge underground labyrinth, several kilometres of which are open to visitors. The route allows you to discover the most spectacular and characteristic elements of the various operating techniques used since the opening of the first gallery, dug in 1684, until today.
Bex City Hall: toque rouge at Gault et Millau, offers an inventive and original cuisine, combining local flavours and new bouquets. In the kitchen, the team does everything possible, day after day, to ensure that the dishes are of impeccable quality and always surprising.
